The UBM32HD is identical to a standard UBM32 but larger to accommodate for the wider body of a TRA28AHD or UBM28A scenery carrier. This component is designed to support the operating cord and prevent sag over long distances. It should be located along the track run at every 2m or 4m centres.

The UBM32HD is identical to a standard UBM32 but larger to accommodate for the wider body of a TRA28AHD or UBM28A scenery carrier. This component is designed to support the operating cord and prevent sag over long distances. It should be located along the track run at every 2m or 4m centres. The Side Cord Guide comprises of an 'L' shaped steel strap and vertical arm which carries two 40mm diameter black Nylon ball raced capstan pulleys. Above the top capstan pulley is a cord 'keep' bush which traps the cord and carries a pivoting plate referred to as a 'flipper'. The lower end of the flipper reaches the centre of the bottom capstan pulley and stops the cord from falling out of the guide whilst allowing the master or scenery carrier to pass by. A close fitting rubber sleeve is fitted onto the flipper to reduce any contact noise with the master runner.
