Convoluted foam is an open cell polyurethane foam designed to absorb noise over a range of frequencies, reduces reverberation and noise inside rooms. On impact, the foam absorbs reflections created by reverberant surfaces, which oscillate back and forth in the room, and transforms them into heat. Convoluted foam has proven to be very effective in reducing reverberation.
